Beaulieu in the New Forest will host the BBC Gardeners’ World Spring Fair from May 2 to 4, featuring a diverse range of gardens, workshops, and expert talks. The event is a celebration of creativity and connection, with a focus on inspiring visitors to transform their outdoor spaces and make a positive impact on the planet.

The Beautiful Borders: A Show-Stopping Feature

The Beautiful Borders are the highlight of the spring fair, featuring nine square meter miniature show gardens that are a testament to creativity and design excellence. Each garden is a self-contained world, brimming with innovative planting and design ideas that will inspire visitors to think outside the box.

The theme for this year’s Beautiful Borders is ‘cultivating connections’, and Julie Arthur from Landygirls Landscaping and Alex Bushnell from Alex’s Garden Design have created ‘Seeds of Sisterhood’, an edible garden that celebrates the power of community and collaboration.

  • Julie and Alex’s garden is a vibrant and diverse space that showcases a range of edible plants, from herbs and vegetables to fruits and flowers.
  • The garden is designed to be accessible and inclusive, with a focus on creating a sense of community and connection among visitors.
  • The ‘Seeds of Sisterhood’ garden is just one of many Beautiful Borders on display, each with its own unique theme and design.
