The Saatchi Gallery Announces 2025 RHS Chelsea Flower Show Garden Featuring Darcey Fleming’s Woven Sculptures
The Saatchi Gallery is pleased to announce that multi-disciplinary artist Darcey Fleming will be featured in the 2025 RHS Chelsea Flower Show garden, titled Three Coverings. The garden, designed by Naomi Ferrett-Cohen, will be open to the public from May 20-24.

Darcey Fleming is an artist who works across sculpture, photography, and performance. Her work is characterized by its use of discarded materials and a self-developed weaving process. Fleming’s sculptures are visually and sensorially arresting, and she describes them as “conversational tools,” accessible objects to be enjoyed by all.
“I want my work to be able to connect people and create a sense of community,” says Fleming. “I use everyday materials to create something new and unexpected, and I’m always looking for ways to push the boundaries of what’s possible.”
The garden, Three Coverings, will feature a winding gravel path, a sea of wildflowers, and soft grasses, creating an immersive environment that invites visitors to explore and engage with Fleming’s sculptures. The garden’s design is inspired by the abundance of color, texture, and volume in Fleming’s woven sculptures, and it incorporates repeated patterns of plants that reflect the theme of duality. For example, the digitalis purpurea (common foxgloves) and lamium orvala (balm-leaved red deadnettle) flowers used in the garden represent the contrast between the poisonous and the protective aspects of nature. HSBC UK will be supporting the garden’s design and construction. This is Saatchi Gallery’s fifth year participating in the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, and it marks an important part of the gallery’s summer programme, which offers emerging artists the opportunity to reach new audiences while exploring different materials and formats.
